  • INTRODUCTION
Pasture Package provides graziers with an innovative combination of diagnostic services and remedial programs for sustainable pasture improvement.

    The five-step process includes:

    1. Satellite analysis of pasture growth
    2. Soil testing and analysis by Incitec Analysis Systems
    3. Face-to-face (On-Farm) agronomic assessments
    4. Participation in an innovative benchmarking program
    5. Access to industry experts via field days and seminars

    SATMAP
Satellite Mapping provides a graphic picture of pasture vigour over the entire farm. When combined with soil test data and agronomic information, SATMAP provides a powerful insight into the formulation of seeding and fertiliser programs.

The process is based upon original CSIRO research as a means of quantifying vegetation vigour and produces a mappable database of your paddocks.

Paddocks can then be classified according to vegetation growth rates and management programs aligned accordingly.

    SOIL TESTS
Incitec Analysis Systems has provided meaningful diagnostic information for the past 80 years.

The Pasture Package incorporates up to 5 soil tests including interpretation by Incitec Analysis Systems.

Soil Test results are combined with Satellite vegetation classification to determine variation in fertility levels across your pastures.

    AGRONOMIC OVERVIEW
Accurate interpretation of Benchmarking information, Satmap and Soil Testing is critical to the owner/manager.

Pasture Package provides for on-farm interpretation by qualified agronomists to ensure that the results of the program are maximised.

The Agronomic consultation will incorporate recommendations for fertiliser, seeding and noxious weed management.

    BENCHMARKING OPPORTUNITY
Pasture Package gives participants the opportunity to participate in a unique Benchmarking program in the New England Area.

This program is based on the successful Grazing Benchmarking program undertaken in the western region of Victoria by the Department of Natural Resources.

    The Benchmarking program features:

    • Clear and meaningful data.
    • On-farm interpretation by qualified experts.
    • On-line availability of results.

FIELD TRIPS, SEMINARS & CONTINUING EDUCATION
Pasture Package provides for a minimum of 2 field trips each year.

These field trips will be available exclusively to participants and give you the opportunity to interact with and learn from other participants.

Field trips will also provide participants contact with industry-leading breeders, animal-health specialists, market experts and researchers.
